How are your packages setup?

I have flexible packages to fit just about everyone. My wedding day packages include professionally edited images with print release. I offer packages for those who would like me to photograph every detail from beginning to end. I also offer budget friendly packages that give you the best of the highlights from the day. I look forward to helping you pick a wedding collection that fits your needs. Take a look at all of my current pricing.

Can I print the photos and use them online?

Most definitely! I will give you a print release which allows you to print as many photos as you like for personal use. You may also post the images on your social media pages. The high-resolution images do not contain watermarks. If you or a family member needs help printing, then you can order professionally made prints from my online gallery and they will be shipped to the address of your choice.

Do you charge a travel fee?

I love to travel to new places meeting amazing couples. Right now, I do not charge a travel fee in the SouthEast region of the United States.

Do you offer a second photographer?

Yes! A second photographer is available for an additional cost. I still handle all the bride and groom portraits. The second photographer offers extra angles of your day.

How do I create a wedding day timeline?

This question has so many parts. I’m very happy to help my brides plan their wedding day. Things to consider are will you have a first look, what is the distance between venues, when is sunset, what events will take place at the reception, and more. When will I receive my wedding images?

I am always so excited to share images with you. I text you a few images within 24 hours of the wedding. These are so fun to post on social media and share with family and friends. Your entire wedding collection of images is ready within 4-6 weeks, but I know work really hard to share them with you sooner!

How many images will I receive?

I give you all of the good quality images. I take out all the duplicates, eyes closed, people walking in front of the camera, and flash didn’t fire images. Then, I edit all the rest for you. 500-800 images is a good average depending on the hours of coverage and number of guests.

What is the online gallery?

The online gallery is where all your images will be placed online for you, family, and friends to view. You will be given a unique URL to access your gallery. From there you can view, share, download, and print images. In addition, you can add images to your cart to purchase prints or canvases from my professional printer.

Do you attend rehearsals?

We can add rehearsal coverage to your package if you would like coverage of those special moments of anticipation.

Do you provide video services?

I am a photographer and do not provide video services. I’m happy to recommend some very talented videographers for your event.

When should we start getting ready?

I like to spend 2-3 hours photographing the wedding party getting ready, wedding day details, and formal portraits with your girls and guys. So, you’ll actually start “getting ready” before I arrive and I’ll join in on the fun once everyone has had a cup of coffee or two.

How do I book a wedding with you?

I send you a digital contract to sign and the retainer will be due at that time. All payment types are accepted and the retainer can be paid online or mailed to me via check.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know each other and capture this exciting time in your relationship. These sessions are usually 1.5-2.5 hours and start around 6:30pm in the summer and 3:30pm in the fall. You can check my pricing page for engagement session rates.

What equipment do you use?

Three Nikon bodies travel with me to every wedding. Along with an assortment of lenses and lighting needed to best capture your day. Throughout the year, I send my equipment off to the manufacturer for needed maintenance to ensure the best equipment for you.

Are you insured?

Yes! If you need insurance documents for your venue, please request these well advance so that I can obtain the proper paperwork for you.

Do you offer any refunds for cancellation?

With the retainer, I am holding the wedding date just for you. The retainer is non-refundable.

FAMILY, NEWBORN, AND SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ

How do I book a portrait session with you?

Where do you photograph? Do you have a studio?

No, I do not have a studio. I am a location photographer. I will travel to a location of your choice and spend a few minutes getting to know everyone and picking a good spot for portraits. If you do not have a location in mind, I’m happy to recommend one of my favorite spots. For newborns, I travel to your home or a family/friend’s home. The newborns love being in this familiar environment.

How long will it take to receive my images?

My turnaround time is 4-6 weeks depending on the season, and I work really hard to share all the amazing images with you as soon as I can.

I’m not sure how to stand for the photographs?

It can seem so daunting to stand in front of a camera to take pictures. I usually spend several minutes getting to know everyone. Once yall are relaxed, I offer direction through the whole process so the family feels comfortable for the photographs. By the end of the session, you will be so excited to see all the images.

What should we wear for our family session?

Great question! There are many resources online that you can search for to find a style that fits your family. Here’s some of my advice, but these are tips, not rules.

  • For my family, I start with an outfit for me that is flattering. Then, I pull colors out of it to coordinate with the boys. Don’t match but coordinate colors.
  • Long sleeves and layers for women.
  • Small logos or no logos.
  • Patterns are fine.
  • Accessories are fun especially for the girls (jewelry, scarves, hats, vests)
  • Layers and textures can add dimension.
  • I personally like to use softer/neutral tones with pops of color.

How many outfits can I bring to the session?

I suggest 1-3 outfits. Some children love to play dress-up and others would be better by not changing outfits.

I’m afraid my kids won’t cooperate for the session. Can you help?

Yes yes yes!! Did I mention I have 3 wonderful and wild boys in my home. I am incredibly patient with children. I enjoy getting to know your kids. I work hard to discover the uniqueness of your children and how to make it an enjoyable time for them. Fake tears are often followed by big laughs and wonderful memories. I’ll also coordinate with you on the best time of day for your little one’s temperament.

How do I make this the best family session possible?

Relax and enjoy. Your family will feed off of your fun energy. It makes such a difference if you enjoy the moment and let me take care of the rest.

Do you offer family mini sessions?

I’m so sorry, but I do not offer minis. So much of my work relies on truly getting to know you. A mini session does not give me enough time to invest into your family.

What if it rains?

I’ll watch the weather closely and we can reschedule in the case of inclement weather.

Do you photograph birthday parties and anniversaries?

Events are my favorite. I give you the freedom to enjoy the party while I photograph all of the great moments. Message me for more details.

When do I schedule a newborn session?

Newborns are the sleepiest in the first 5-14 days. I encourage scheduling a time in those first two weeks. Don’t worry if you miss that window of time. Photographing older infants result in precious portraits too. I encourage moms to contact me as soon as they are interested in newborn photography. I will pencil your due date on my calendar. Once you bring baby home, you can message me to schedule a date.

How long is the newborn session?

2-4 hours depending on the baby. It takes 15-30 minutes to achieve each pose. We take breaks for baby’s needs like feedings and changes.

May I bring sentimental props and outfits?

Definitely. I supply neutral colored blankets, wraps, and a few headpieces. You are welcome to add any props or outfits that we can safely photograph.

What if my newborn is fussy?

If your baby is fussy, do not worry or get stressed. Know that your baby is in good hands and I will care for them like I did my own babies. Some babies do fuss a little during posing. I have lots of patience and will get adorable pictures of your baby no matter what their temperament may be like during certain parts of the session. If at anytime you feel uncomfortable and feel that the baby needs you or anything else, please let me know.

Do I get to watch the newborn session?

During the session, you are welcome to watch.  The beauty of traveling to your home is that you get to relax and rest. Some mom’s watch the whole experience and others hang out with family or even take a nap:)  I’m a mom of 3 and very sensitive to baby’s safety during the session.

May other family members join in on the newborn session?

Absolutely! We will photograph family portraits at the end of the session. So don’t feel like you have to have everyone ready when I arrive. Keep your attire simple. Often a plain top with a neutral color like black, white, tan or gray looks best and will not detract from baby. Try to stay away from tops with images, writing or logos.

Why type of Senior Session do you offer?

I offer three senior packages. The Senior Mini Session is 45 minutes at 1 location. The Senior Lifestyle Session is 2-3 hours at multiple locations. The Three Seasons Senior Session are photographed three separate times during the year. For example, a summer session, fall/winter session, and spring session. Some like to add in their cap and gown for the spring session.

When should I have my senior portraits taken?

I recommend early summer or early fall. Especially if you need images for your yearbook senior page or football program ad page. Some wait until the early spring of their senior and use the images for graduation announcements.

Do you photograph on weekends or evenings?

Yes! I have limited weekend and evening availability. Inquire early to reserve your preferred time.
